Most Expensive Bottle of Wine Never Sold!

The most expensive bottle of wine ever sold was the 1787 Chateau Lafite, originally bought by Thomas Jefferson in France. The most expensive bottle of wine never sold was the 1787 Chateau Margaux also purchased originally by Jefferson. This bottle however was knocked over at a wine convention by a waiter and broken. The insurance company payed the owner $225,000 for the bottle. Ironically this bottle of wine was nothing more than a bottle of vinegar, undrinkable and only a collectable.
